Press On

Lord I am heavy, my heart weighs a ton
Not by guilt of past deeds done
For you have forgiven me and set me free
Even though the world still judges me
Don't let me fall into that trap
And turn my heart to judge them back
When the persecution  continues to come
Help me Jesus to just press on
Give me wisdom to pass every test
And follow after the holy spirit and not the flesh
Be my hears Lord, be My eyes
To see not the obstacles, but the prize
Be my anchor to hold through the storm
That I may not turn back, but instead press on
When the burdens are heavy and helping hands are few
Remind me Lord to bring them all to you
And even those so hard to let go of
Show me the patience of Your love
If none stand with me, and I feel alone
Lord give me strength to press on
On to the mark of a higher calling in Jesus Christ
Who by grace, mercy, and love paid the price
That all can stand before You totally dept free
The harlot, the addict, every sinner even me
Not to the swift and certainly not the strong
Help me Lord endure, I must press on
