Cliff Poems

Japan Jet Lag Haikus

words I can't pronounce
get stuck in front of my mouth
sky stolen ideas

rope fences between
my eyes and night flow river
the Joker looks down

strand gold pepper sits
like a long nose witch's tit
atop apartments

flashing mirages
asahi super dry can
one two three spilled lights

temple in Go night
no less holy than still dawn
yet no more either

“Bum” under a sign
that identifies as such
arrows like daggers

pandas in the pit
children on their backs
Bow to the hungry

ladies suggesting
a samurai about to
lose his only sword

singing glad off work
dancing down arcade alley
a plastic bag tune

bird knocks door
wind blows another what
goodnight fall
