Cliff Poems
Cracked Peace Smile
Sea waves curve orderly,
approach shore politely like a Sunday short child,
as firecrackers light wild the bridge skyline.
My page shines briefly and it looks happy-
crumpled Japan shuffle and
hand uttering the end of a bad landfill dream-
If I were able to lose control here
I have faith the winds of this place would treat me gentle and fair.
After all, what do we care?
What do we care, my heart, (asked Rimbaud)
what do we care for anything more
when the air is filled with laughter and the moment with God?
Oh, Rimbaud, did you ever feel this with feet so sore?
I have felt much,
felt new and old.
For now, I feel you,
all of you,
in the same universe,
and wish this joybliss
to pay more melodic visits
to your beautiful souls.
approach shore politely like a Sunday short child,
as firecrackers light wild the bridge skyline.
My page shines briefly and it looks happy-
crumpled Japan shuffle and
hand uttering the end of a bad landfill dream-
If I were able to lose control here
I have faith the winds of this place would treat me gentle and fair.
After all, what do we care?
What do we care, my heart, (asked Rimbaud)
what do we care for anything more
when the air is filled with laughter and the moment with God?
Oh, Rimbaud, did you ever feel this with feet so sore?
I have felt much,
felt new and old.
For now, I feel you,
all of you,
in the same universe,
and wish this joybliss
to pay more melodic visits
to your beautiful souls.
