Profession of Faith
God is light no darkness within,
Having no evil or no sin;
With a relationship in Him,
Though our lives are dark and grim.
For our lives are so uncouth,
Because we do not tell the truth;
Since we are so full of deceit,
Continuing to steal and cheat.
But we live in the light the same,
Just as Jesus Christ did proclaim;
In relation with each other,
Treating as sister and brother.
The blood of Christ cleanses from sin,
That corrupts our souls within;
Making it white as snow once more,
For salvation He can assure.
So if we say we have not sinned,
Then the words we speak are just wind;
And the truth can never be found,
From our lips that make the sound.
But if willing for to confess,
Then God cleanses unrighteousness;
And He is willing to forgive,
So that in the light we can live.
