Zzzzzzz
Thoughts again come to mind and I
reflect on life lived
Fortunate I've been to have survived
reckless nights about town
Those days have long gone, today warmth,
a place to call home is all that's sought
and to some degree we have found both
Never realized how cuddling becomes a
security blanket, insuring dreams of better
days
Without it, a lonely trek to slumber land
awaits you
The toss and turns of yesterday become
less frequent and you sleep like a baby
How a kiss goodnight and embrace makes everything
so right, feelings never had, now are
And so we doze off to a quiet place
Where life becomes all I wished for
and given
Dreaming becomes easier and upon closing my
eyes I'm off to see you...Zzzzzzz
