the sense I get tonite
was an overwhelming delite
trying my best to stay on topic
and not derail from the subject
air out my feeble concerns
it's funny how life can be
so instant..
and flicker the painful emotions
of grave thoughts
and illconceived plans
well founded
on fanciful heart felt ideas-
to have yanked from under
and slapped in the face cold
Sweetness has it's needfulness
and sugar has it's price
Trying so hard to remember
what was a beautiful thought
And render what was genuine
and tender..

It's just pretty pictures
in the sand..
I know your emotions run the gambit
Trying so hard to be heard
over the crowd..
Such self-importance is placed
the ego can either be
a Lion..a Bear..or a Bull
The undoing is part of the Learning
Sacrifice is given
Gestures are received
and kindness a religion..
