Concept of a Fleeting Moment

to conceive a thought
is like giving birth
to a new world
first is the darkness
and the void
and emptyness
hollow shell
a cup waiting upon the edge
to be filled on wanton request
then a ray of light
shines down from heaven
giving life and breathing life
into all around surrounding sound
Fruitful
Abundance of plenty
feeding all in need
the gathering of the many
And what have we learned?
and what have we lost?
and what have we remembered?
nothing if not the past remembered
nothing if not the present lived
nothing if not the future guaranteed
nothing...but a fleeting moment
Lost forever in time..
