Today I found what it is to feel the righteous anger
Erupting in response to hearing slander in all its forms of devilry
Innocence blackened
Without means of setting the record straight!
The simmering bubbling rage which took over me,
The inability to reply
The hopelessness of knowing the harm is done
The utter despair
Nothing said or done will take back the words already spoken
The cloth is stained.
Dirtied, muddied,
No amount of redress will take away the smear
Nothing will change the minds of those who ears have heard.
For they know not the real truth of what lies behind the mud slinging!
They listen only to the words thrown out in vengefulness
Furious shaking as my mind took in the words of hurtfulness
Lies and deceit and wrongfulness
Embittered words, thrown out with no other intent than to harm
Twisted and tortured into something not right
Thrown like so much dirt against the whiteness of a wall
The meaning behind the word besmirchment
The staining of a name
Slander.
What it is to find out just how easily the gossip mongers wagging tongues
Have done their vengeful best to destroy
Poisonous drips of venom
Dripping, slavering in darkened corners
Smiling mouths and twisted tongues
Spitting frothing over their words of dirtiness
Reveling in the thrill of spilling out their nasty untruths
Drunken tongues slobbering
Slurring, drooling out words of viciousness
Minds twisted and befogged, unable to see truth
Because the REAL truth hurts
And that is why they seek to destroy
Because for them to look at the REAL truth would never happen
WHY?
Look in the mirror and see the truth
Can you stand in pure whiteness and purity?
Would you prove to be so completely innocent of the crimes you accuse me of?
Or would you see THE EVIL that you truly are!
