A New Priesthood
A fact that cannot be ignored,
From which tribe that came our Lord;
For it was Judah whence He came,
Although Moses did not proclaim.
Once a priest and you always will,
Be a priest in life to fulfill;
The needs that God does have for you,
As long to the Word remain true.
Everything that Moses taught,
Was not all what the Lord had sought;
But we have something else that gives,
Hope so that each one of us lives.
A greater confidence for you,
That is guiding and helping through;
Each day that lets you approach God,
For worship to honor and laud.
For Jesus did become a priest,
After encounter with the beast;
And when God had taken an oath,
As the timing was right for both.
That is the reason Christ can save,
Us all from the eternal grave;
And go to God only through Him,
If we are spiritually trim.
