Diamond in the Grass (wings2fly2heaven)

Diamond in the Grass
Though difficult is discernment,
One dewdrop screamed my name,
It begged my eyes to notice,
Odds notable found its fame.
Desperate to cling full form,
Small sphere affixed so fast,
Amongst a concert of stems,
On this single blade of grass.
Deserving of its moment,
For value rare to show,
Tremendous sparkled impact,
How could this dewdrop know?
Last hurrah ahead demise,
Fate evaporates memory,
Hopeful rays burst rainbows,
A spectrum vividly.
Light and water married,
Brilliant instant in time,
Results were astounding,
Its beauty wrote this rhyme.
A diamond in the grass,
Sparkled exquisitely,
Colouring imagination,
My soul just had to see.
