 shadow of mercy pt.2

I heard the bells chime
I looked at my watch
and knew it was time
you see the shadow of mercy
is all around you..
when the drippings
off the walls
and telephone calls
enter into your head
long into the night
of the living dead
and a kittens mother
laps up the tuna
from last nites supper
and the girls that walk
the streets are found
waiting on the corner
and the homeless man
is searching for his
shelter..and the moon light
gives off a frozen reddish
pale..and you hear your heart
beat and feel the pulse
in your throat..and you start
to run..but you don't know where..
and the darkest hour is still
the darkest flower of rose petaled
leaden opium dens..the mercy is
the dawn that releases the night shade
from it's slumber and presses her lips
to her lover..and awakens him from
his nightmare and confirms the reality
that dreams have a tendency to fasten
and steadily recover..guten morgin
mein herr..
