Things That Go Bump In The Night
The weatherman's forecast was grim
Tornado watch alert was in
Making for thoughts of mine last night
Praying for her to be alright

This act of nature comes and leaves
Destruction birthed, it won't concede
To anything upon it's path
Ripped from the earth scattered it's cache

Amazing force by nature comes
Taking no prisoners and leaving none
Unscathed for winds of change it brings
A freight trains song leaving it's sting

Taking livestock from barns and farms
Whipping about what once was calm
Leaving no stone unturned to say
I'm here now run get out of the way

Hail the size of golf balls rain
Denting it's name on all the same
Reminding once again of power
Leaving nothing that once towered

and like it came, it too will go
abruptly here, but not her in tow
No not this time, no not tonight
Sparing beloved, destruction's flight

Tornado Pictures, Images and Photos
