Poetic Verses

The Silent System

No howling winds, rain or churning waters of turbulent seas
No earthquake, or vocanic eruption belching fires into the skies
No tsunamis that cover the land and muffle many cries
But yes there is situation that has retarded growth in all the world's territories

How was it able to bypass all those upgraded, technologically advanced instruments
So silent, yet the severity of its gravity, was beyond all measurements
But the before and after shockwaves could not be determined on the Richter's scale
But the experts could not envision, that such situations would prevail.

So how could the experts, have time to give any warning
AS they too were out of depth and not in phase with their timing
Because when the got over the shock, then later to raise that warning sound
The damage was done, and had inflicted injuries quite profound.

Some places now had  their pride dented as they were desinated fortresses
As this has shattered that economic wall that was perceived as a buttress
Because those were the places where, others pinned they economic hope
Now these are the one affected most and seem not being able to cope.

Then that famous street, which is called the one of wall
Succumb to its fury and took such an embarrassing fall
The force, fury and velocity but yet such a silent take over
No wonder the strength of that wall buckle in most corners.

As all countries sit, assess, and try to quantify the damage
They concluded that it on one that is beyond them to manage
Some try to inject more money, and institute a stimulus package
Hoping that this would cushion that shock and stop the rampage.

It has even knocked over those corporations and banks
They now need a jump-start or even the ancient crank
Now as they endure and suffer some humiliating blows
As they cry out for help as they main support goes.

In the wake many people are in a state of unemployment
Losing their homes, families divided, what a predicament
But this system keep hovering, spelling out such destruction
Nobody does not know when it will end, this recession.
