In the twilight glow of evening's start
I feel awareness beating in my heart
when all is still in the middle of Fall
I hear a whippoorwill sending out his call
trying to find a mate before winter sets in
to end his lonesome blues from within
As summer ends I send out my call too
for some one like you to love me true
Summer fun is gone bringing winter near
finding someone as a protector of fear
to keep fires burning safe and warm
in warding off chills of winter's storm
In twilight's glow I'll wait for you
hoping my dreams do come true
wishing upon the brightest star of blue
for when your eyes make love to mine
there is no mountain I can not climb
in making you mine for all time
