That Spirit of Joy
To all of us will be amazed as how the time has acelerated
Like the speed some nuclear reation, another year is almost completed
Some people may be now in fact, looking the situation
And making a list of what they can realistically accomplish in a resolution.
Some may not even done any that they made for the year
Perhaps when made, this was during a moment of intoxicating cheer
So those ones were too demanding to keep
Next time try not to make that committing bar so steep.
But before that time, try to enjoy the Christmas season
Make a retroactive resolution, and keep if only for this reason
Take this moment to show some love and great consideration
To spread some joy and care not only to friends but to less fortunate children.
You yourself will feel within you that torrent of joys
When you see that look of love and thanks in their eyes
That warmth and gratitude emanating from their appreciative hugs
Nothing can ever be better that their beaming radiance of love.
This ambience will transpose on you so much happiness
Your being will be overwhelmed by such a show of unbridled gladness
This will demonstrate that even though they endure moment of deprivation
That they can still still show some appreciation, no matter the situation.
They will never forget you or what you do
But make visits and make any form of contribution too
So let this Christmas be the start of many a donation
Doing this will give you some form of inner satisfaction.
You will meet former residence who have no gone far and wide
But no matter what, they contribute in anyway and heavier at Christmas tide
Those who are around will make it a fixture to grace with their presence
Reminiscing and thanking all who gave to them something that made that difference.
