Simple These Things
A hand held gently throughout the day
The paths you walked in heart yours stay
This one of many simple things
Are mine today, my song to sing
Your gentle kiss where lips quite soft
Keep us soaring, on cloud aloft
This, one of many simple things
That play upon my heartstrings
The warmth of you became my peace
Feeding off it, a lovers feast
This is one of many things
This write, these thoughts today still bring
A moment had and passed too soon
The need to hear a heartfelt tune
Again, please come to never leave
For lonely is a soul that grieves
Hold to I will as you would ask
Be of good cheer and also bask
For better days and longer nights
Will come to stay bringing love's light
Think of things with positive thoughts
Bear witness to them you've sought
For this prelude was just a taste
Simple these things love not forsakes
