 Poems by The Old Cowboy

7th Of December

As bombs rained down and good men died
Great ships of the USA swallowed by the tide
Who could have foreseen the carnage coming
A sneak attack planned to send America running

They not knowing the fury of our rage
Failing to realize the war we would wage
Sweeping across the waters of the open seas
Forcing the sons of the rising sun to flee

Till finally it ended with two blinding flashes
Laying two great cites to ruin and ashes
Let us today pay homage and remember
All that died on the 7th of December
