Each one is unique
Spitting the food out, messy clothes
Changing nappies
Oh great they need a bath
You bath them they're lovely then
Pooped all up their back, wrong size vest was it?
Oh no they need another bath now
You turn the heating on
Get the water just right
Wrap them up so warm, fighting to get out, kicking, slapping
You unwrap to dress and then wrap again in a cosy little blanket
Bottle in their mouth it keeps falling out from their tongue
Then they keep whinging, moaning or crying
Here comes another whinge oh no its been sick
So is it a burp, a feed or a change
Another whinge
Is it just boredom or are they sleepy
They want the walker, now they want the floor
Want a toy, now they do not want it
Little explorer will sure keep you on your toes
You can't sleep until they do
Everything gotta be out of reach
The place needs to be child friendly
A pain in the bottom, but so cute and so adorable
Just so rushed off your feet
Now its the parents turn to turn in
Now the baby is dreaming, just got to make sure it won't suffocate and its breathing is ok
Is it warm enough
So you get the bottle warmer and the put the bottles in your mini fridge unless you prefer it all natural
Night lamp goes on, curl up warm, be prepared to be awoken at night at least 6 times, but hey you at least you can give it back soon coz your baby your routine
Remember yours will be yours 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the rest of your life
So be prepared or be protected!
