Reflections of a Christmas LightI am just a Christmas Light, amongst many others on the tree wondering what it would be like if I were anyone but me To be a Christmas Bulb, one must certainly hang with pride emanating such splendor, despite color, shape, or size To be a Christmas Ornament, how wonderful that would be to hold sentimental value or a special memory To be the Christmas Tinsel, the Garland, Icicles or Snow to have the ability to control the decorative flow To be the Christmas Angel or Star, such a smile you'd guarantee and who wouldn't want to sit prominent atop the Christmas Tree To be the Christmas Tree Skirt, that lies around the base this is where the gifts will be so eloquently placed But I am just a Christmas light, amongst many others on the tree however, plug in my strand and surely something magical you'll see For all of us are unique and each valued in our own special way together we are the Christmas Tree for all to enjoy and display It matters not if you're amongst many others just like me what matters is how brightly your light will shine for all to see Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
