Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

I wanna eat you

Lies diving like starving vultures,
My hand holds the prescription
That keeps me begging for sanity.

The weapon poised, I swallow my pills
Like regret, and sadness peaks like a tent.

The insanity pleads, its charisma
I can't follow.
I sleep in the vomit of my despair,
The insignia of possession burned into my scalp.

Not immortal, and able to drown
In my malfeasance, praying for an oasis
To bleed away the normal.

Once the meds have worn off, my
Quest dies a foul death and I've nothing
Left to challenge but my own words, which
I wear around like a wig of rightfulness on my head.
