Light A Candle - Poem and VideoI wrote the following poem after I heard this song on the radio, which touched my heart. I hope the video will be a blessing to you also. Take care and God bless you! Carol ----------------------------- Light a Candle For the homeless and the lonely God has not forgotten the weary For those in poverty and despair God knows your burdens and cares For all those who grieve and mourn God weeps with you at every turn For all whose spouse has left you God understands your deep pain too Light a candle and open your heart Miles may keep close friends apart But if Jesus is the bond you share You will always be in their prayers Light a candle and spread His love Share how Jesus came down from above Promised Messiah as prophets foretold Fulfilled God's sovereign plan of old Knowing Jesus as Savior He dwells within He forgives you eternally for every sin Even in the times you stumble and fall God holds you in His hand through it all © Carol Salter 12/14/10 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
