the cats I know of
were and are still my
best friends..
I'd rather spend a day
with my cats..
than with most people
I come across with..
the joy of companionship..
unquestioning love..
just keep their litter box clean
food in their bowls water in
their dish and a sunny place
to lay down in during the day..
trim some nails..pet that fur..
sit on my lap while I read
a good book..listen to me
when I whine about my day..
I pet you and all my thoughts
fade away on a sort of gray day..
The simple things for a cat..
stretch and play..take a nap..
most everyday..thank you my
friends for just being there..
I know time is short for you..
I hope you enjoyed your time
with me as much as I have..
I'll see all my kitties
at St.Peter's gate..
waiting for some sunshine..
a bowl of tuna..maybe a slice
of ham..and a pet from her
master's hand..and a cuddle
on my lap..
