The Cat that came to Christmas Supper

It was the night before Christmas and it was all quite
on the western front, that was until Billy decided to do
another Feline Stunt.
He knew that he had to be extra quite because sometimes
Billy could cause a riot.
You see he was a very young cat and in his prime
and testing his ability was just a matter of time.
He knew that his job was to hunt rats and mice
so he had to be quite and very precise.
After watching for a while the mouse came out of his home
then he looked all around because he thought he was alone.
As the mouse moved Billy arched up his back
and gave the mouse a mighty whack.
As the mouse lay dazed upon the floor Billy threw him
in the air with his front paw.
He fell down just in front of Billy's head
shock had killed the mouse and he was stone dead.
He chewed up his heart and ate every morsel he could
then liked his whiskers like a good cat should.
Then Billy heard a strange sound coming from the street door
It was a sound that he had never heard before.
What can that be Billy thought in his head
I will have to investigate he quietly said.
You see cats are very curious they can get into trouble
but I think Billy was safe from bursting his bubble.
He crept down the passage on all four paws
treading the carpet and sharping his claws.
He had to be fit to fight off what lay ahead
or it may be his time to end up stone dead.
Then young Billy saw next door's cat
he was big and ugly and oh so fat.
Billy by now was in a nasty mood
saying under his breath I bet he has come to take my food.
He has come through my flap with no invitation
this fat cat is getting way above his station.
now Billy was crafty he knew exactly what to do
and the fat cat never had a clue.
That Billy was watching and taking it all in
while the fat cat tripped over the rubbish bin.
Billy was mad because the kitchen was in a state
and now he was eating the food off his plate.
He hissed and he spat then jumped straight on his back
thought Billy it's time I gave this cat the sack.
His back was arched and he was up on all four
away went the fat cat, straight for the door.
The noise was was horrendous it was one hell of a fight
and as for the fat cat he had one hell of a bite.
The mistress woke up to the sound of feline crying
and down she went to do a little prying.
Thinking it was Billy she ran down the stairs
to be greeted at the bottom by a pile of hairs.
Next door's cat was trapped in the flap and
Billy had taken to his basket for a much deserved nap
It was an eventful night for all concerned and as for
the fat cat it was a lesson learned.
Getting into a situation where he thought he could get a good picking,
but he came unstuck when he met Billy who gave him a good licking
