Mans Silent Fall
Many things would contribute to mans
demise
Lack of respect for ourselves and
others
The list of things sitting just outside
the waiting room of life
Each taking a number
Credit to and against
his soul
Drunk with power, weakness of heart,
lack of faith
Dancing to the beat of his own
drum, poor decisions
Bringing to knees the head of
the household if ever the role
played
Beliefs staggering ever more
into a ball of confusion
No rhyme, no reason this day
Anger got the best
of him
Innocence lost before
it ever got a chance to
surface
Then again it was choices
some bad, some still waiting
for a verdict
and at the end of his days
maybe he will look back
realizing they could have rose
to the occasion
To change
Leaving a piece
of themselves to learn from
and not follow
