I am here
On Earth…
Human being
Earthling,
Doing what we do
Making appointments
Driving to meet
Friends,
Pay bills,
Listen to music,
All great wonders
In the world
We live in…
But all of me
Isn't here.
There is another
Part of me
In Illandria,
Where I left
This world,
To save it
From magic
And the forces
Of which
Many have
Made nightmares
In the movies,
Because they
Just CAN'T
Be real…
I did it
To save this
World from
Such nightmares
And so I have
Gone there,
And taken
Some friends
With me.
The Gods
Are reborn,
And the Shadow
Council plots
My demise,
As the griffins
Hunt us from above
And we traverse
The world through
The magma of
The world by
The magic
Of the Mother
And Father
Of the molten
Realms.
Meanwhile back on
Earth…
I surf the internet
And write poetry…
And yet elsewhere
There is also
Another part
Of my consciousness
In the jungles
Of Amazonia.
Warrior women
And some part
Of me lives
In the girl
Soon to become
The woman
The future
Queen,
Now hunted.
Meanwhile
Back in the land
Of hard cold
Reality,
My future is
Being decided,
And degrees
Are being made,
While I look for
Work,
And struggle
With the simple
Things like
Making a living.
A shard parts off
Into a parallel
Universe,
Where a virus
Spreads across
The earth
Killing all the
Adults,
Leaving behind
A world of
Children
That I am
The leader
Of.
But someday
In the meantime,
I need to sit down
And finish
These stories
For the memories
I carry
Of them
Are as real
As the ones
Of this life,
And
Sometimes
They are even
Sharper
Than the memories
Of this life…
Meanwhile
I have to go back
To reality,
And writing poetry
And surfing
The internet…
While pieces
Of my soul
Play heroically
In other corners
Of the Universe.
