My Angel Of The Night…

You are my guardian Angel,
And as lay me down to sleep...
You hover and protect me,
As into my mind you creep.

And should I awaken scared,
You will cuddle me so tight,
So once more I'll drift to sleep,
As you protect me from the night.

If I shiver from the cold,
You'll lay a blanket so warm,
Wrapping your wings around me,
To protect me from any harm!

If I thirst you will quench it,
By sprinkling my lips so sweet,
And protect me once again,
As you settle near my feet.

And if my breathing stops,
You will take that breath for me,
And keep me safe from harm,
So the morning I shall see.
