NOTE: This is a double acrostic, representing two
totally different views and perspectives on life.
While both of them are written in first person, the
last one reflects my true heart. The first one is
for anyone who may be facing similar feelings.
LIVING IN FEAR (Acrostic)
L ife on this earth lacks meaning
I have lost all my will for living
V ictim of pain and grief I bear
I just cannot handle it anymore
N o one understands or cares
G od are you even out there
I have a big hole in my heart
N o love or joy left to impart
F rom the time you left me here
E veryday has been a nightmare
A ll I think about is deep regret
R eally cannot forgive or forget
OR
LIVING HOPE (Acrostic)
L ife on this earth goes beyond my family
I nstead God is preparing me for eternity
V ictory and strength He gives each day
I have His Spirit to guide me all the way
N ow life has purpose until my days end
G lory and praise to Jesus my best Friend
H eaven is my final home and destination
O nly because of His free gift of salvation
P eople ask how they can have hope today
E ternal life in Jesus is still the only way
Colossians 3:2 (ESV)
Set your minds on things that are above,
not on things that are on earth.
1 Peter 1:3-4 (ESV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused
us to be born again to a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to
an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled,
and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
1 Corinthians 15:20a (ESV)
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead.
