Have you forgotten?

Oh the dark curse of age progression,
Past lessons lost; amnesic regression?
The playful innocence; childhood's delights,
Growing to greed that ignores other's rights.

Enlightenment, license to eat every delight,
Evil blackness proclaimed as ‘new age' white.
Have you forgotten the Creator's wrath?
Turned an enlighten'd city to salty dross.

‘Me time' – the modern self release,
Shut others out -  while searching for peace.
Have you forgotten the Creator's Word?
Peace is only found in Messiah, the Lord.

Civilisation goes from age to age,
Sometimes repeating a yesterday page.
Have you forgotten the Creator's flood?
Most thought irrelevant, worshiping God.

Storing up treasure for earthly gain?
Trusting luxury? – It just leads to pain!
Have you forgotten the Creator's call?
‘Time's up', His knowing gaze understands all.
