Crucial Conversation
At times one can get some very valuable information
Just by engaging in a discussion or converstaion
But the one that can be even more effectual
Is when it has ben taken to that level that is crucial
In a relationship there can be often some problem
As expected, each partner may try to avoid handling
However a coridal relationship is again back on course
Only after they sit, and have a very crucial discourse.
Sometimes we look at and praise the success of an organization
We admire how good its systems and processes are made to function
But never though, that it only got to such a junction
Is because at all levels, they learnt how to deal with crucial conversations.
Sometimes it is not often what, but how we say
That can trigger a response in a different way
This can change, what was indeed a very insignificant conversation
Into what may indeed, turn out to be a needless altercation.
Imagine a parent dealing with what is considered a rebellious teen
Their actions intending to be helpful, may be perceived to be mean
So instead of understanding, and listen to the other side
As expected will use that parental authority, to readily chide.
It is amazing how much progress is made
When one is prepared to listen, and not to persuade
Not echoing any condescending or disparaging overtone
As this many bring a not too pleasant response in the zone.
