 Rose Petal's Lyrical Reign

Treasure in a broken vessel

Sometimes we walk past
without taking a second glance
At what appears to be broken
only missing the chance

Because what you see
is merely what you perceive
For what lies beneath
is something you can't conceive

It is the mask of the present
the prerequisite if you will
Unable to see beyond
though the battle is real

Shattered the mind plays tricks
lost the heart cries out
Starve the flesh until you
transpire to survive without

With death comes rebirth
one must fall before they can rise
One cannot come full circle
until they open their spiritual eyes

Whence the eyes are open
grasp with darkness there is light
Accept this balance needed
only then does growth take flight

Upon further examination
take a closer look to see
Otherwise you'll miss
the beautiful chaos that is me
