 Black Messiah

Savior of Mankind
where were you
for the saving grace
of the Holy Sine..
Sweet Black Messiah
you came not to judge
us but to teach us..
oh Holy One..we are
but children of yours
lost but not without hope
lame but not completely
blind..guide us in your
ways..didn't you promise
us light in the path..
spiritual enlightment
and a customary display..
of your everso loving ways..
The weight you carried
our souls and a crucifix
crutch..the pain you felt
was much too much..
To touch you and feel
the innocent lamb..
The blood was shed
the pain was real..
as a shot gun blast
Black Messiah
it's a pity you couldn't
stay here for long..
You took what pain
we had..and made it
a song..
Entered into the Gate
as children..
the child remains..
waiting..waiting..
