The Dippy Gang!
Come on folks, try us,
and hire a scooter or chair!
And wiz around the shops,
without a worry or a care!
Now Jerry, Irene and Kathy,
all work in the ‘shop!'
Hiring out the wheelchairs…
they're so busy they never stop!
Now Jerry is a ‘runner,'
always legging it to and fro,
But he's only a mere man,
and gets confused which way to go!
He's always smiling and happy,
except when he is down,
And we all know when that is,
because he walks around with a frown!
Irene, what can I say?
She's a quiet little lass,
Married to Jerry, oh dear me,
what a shame she's got class!
She sits there with a smile,
working and beavering away,
Nothing is a trouble...
and she's there all the long day!
Now Kathy, what can I say?
Well now, let me ponder...
Oh yes, she works there too,
except when she goes for a wander!
Kathy, pull the stops out!
No slacking cos that won't do!
After all, when said and done...!
Me and my chair's faster than you!
Now the three of them I have to say,
are gems, they really are,
Working to help us be mobile,
so we can travel wide and far!
So please support this worthy deed,
pop in and hire a chair,
After all, when said and done,
that is why they are there!
So for the gang I have to say,
bravo, what a job you do!
Nothing is a problem or trial,
they're there to help me and you!
So here's a little ditty for you,
just to say you lot are great!
And every day, well usually,
I make a ‘mobility' date!
There I am each day yes!
I'm travelling wide and far!
Then loaded down with shopping,
I go back to my car!
Jerry always helps me out...
in the boot he throws my food!
Oh, cor blimey and sugar plumbs!
This fella is so rude!
So Jerry, have my chair ready!
Don't make me waste my shopping time!
Just make it snappy, there's a good chappy,
And everything will be just fine!
