Far across a distant land
A land not as distant as my unattached heart may seem to be
Under a Celtic Moon, loneliness is a dance in remembrance of her
Far across a distant land
Is where our dreams faded with each thought of leaving
Like the dew on the morning Lavender sweet fragrance anew
Far across a distant land
It's not hard to imagine lovely Lasses running free across the Moors
Calling my name, hidden within fields lavender blowing in nature's wind
Far across a distant land
Such a happy-go-lucky, child like quality she processed
Where she and her horse's hooves danced and pranced upon the winds
Far across a distant land
The Celtic Moon shinning across the hillside in mirrored reflection
Creating flashes of ghost-like figures hauntingly floating across the Mores
Far across a distant land
I would walk the hillsides alone, a broken man in remembrance of my loss
I'd sit as if in concert listening to Celtic women sing of their Mother-land
Far across a distant land
Along the creek where nature reveled in midnight songs seem to be amplified
How lovely the sounds of homemade instruments echoed the countryside
Far across a distant land
Over and beyond these hills reminded us of home where we grew up and fell in love
Where Cellos, Violins and the thumping of Celtic Drums carried our hearts
Far across a distant land
Tall and beautiful in the saddle, riding the horse she loved
Where my eyes played in the memory of her song of harmony named Apache
Far across a distant land
My heart holds the tears of many yesterdays never to be forgotten
Memories that float in my dreams of wishful thinking she were still alive
Far across a distant land
Where dreams are reborn and relived for those who have learned to dance
Awaken in the land of Angels, Lavenders and Harps of the Celtic Moon
Far across a distant land
A land not distant at all, it's here and now it's in my memories
In my heart and in the memories that I call would have loved to call Home...
