Before I Go
Upon my mind and on the path
Of greater things I thought I lacked
My hope is when it's time to go
Someone will read and also know
That in life I tried to leave
A thought or two to help conceive
If just one word in Christ
Believe
Though trial and error of my ways
Delayed my walk where lost I strayed
I found that time has been too kind
Time all His and not of mine
Bruised, confused my heart regained
Strength through Him that knew my pain
Though good I thought I always was
Not good living without a cause
Cause to bring a change to one
Speaking Life to everyone
Passing on this message to
Making one more anointed two
His words not mine my Hope will play
A major role in them today
Bringing to light what is of Light
A child now Gods, Heavens delight
And though my failures caused delays
He called to me from where I strayed
When lost I was He would find me
Worthy to say these things to thee
My years Silver turned into old
Leading the path to streets of Gold
Blessing one more as GOD asked me
Before taking leave to eternity
