 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

BE WELL

From the beginning
you looked straight thru me
I stood yielding
`neath a street lamp

You are the only one
that sees me
for who I am

I'll never forgive you
and never forget you
for gazing at my nakedness

Yet by this forward approach
this word "love" suspends
in the back of my throat

Like a distant beggar
it wants to reach out
but it cannot
as I will not see
thru the windows of your eyes

Make lively your being
my one true love
from afar I mend you
with my caring palms

I too hunger you
upon my tongue
your name lingers

In your absence
my mind shall rest
like that of a deep sleep
wake me when you return

Be well my love
