A Selfish Thought
So many times we tend to dwell
Lost inside our personal hell
Yet outside our circumstances
We pray for others second chances
A chance to beat all odds given
Breath breathed deep because we're living
Diagnosed once with disease
Answered prayers on bended knees
Of love searched for and almost had
Of dreams too short of times glad
These thoughts we hold are all our own
Selfish somewhat but ours alone
So turn you do to write one more
One more before you close the door
To chapters lived and maybe lost
Sometimes the price is high the cost
Though try we do to not disguise
These feelings in where deep inside
Is just one thought, and what of me
Answers whispered but silently
Your cause to be was for these reasons
To bring to life and in due season
Your needs shall be given unto you
Patience yours lacked, needed virtue
Get back in line, it's not your turn
For other things you will discern
In due time, just wait, you'll see
The best of you, in you is me
So once again your selfishness
Becomes apparent and worthless
For greater good are you to those
Whose thanks became what GOD took hold
In closing this write maybe
Will change what ails and too cravings
That are but selfish thoughts that run
Crossing the path of not much fun
