 THOUGHT WALK

THOUGHT WALK

I walk along this lonely street
Hands in my pockets, eyes at my feet
The mind travels far and wide
With no other at my side

At the rise of my head, lights I do see
City shops tell the story of you and me
Traffic sounds I do hear, they bring me back
Where I walk alone on these trolley tracks

City lights twinkle in the starry-starry night
Travel down my thought walk, makes it all right
The past will be remembered, for today is today
What will the future bring, who can really say?
