A Plea for Help
Be kind to me so I may live,
For knowing that You do forgive;
With each time as spoken and heard,
So I can hold on to Your Word.
Open my eyes so I may see,
Miraculous things taught to me;
As a foreigner in this place,
I need You to shed me more grace.
A stranger in a foreign land,
So much I do not understand;
And I do need a place to hide,
As I pray to You and confide.
For I do need You at the helm,
While I am living in this realm;
And take Your commandments to heart,
So then they will never depart.
My soul is getting flooded out,
With second thoughts and other doubt;
This world has many pagan laws,
That are so filled with human flaws.
It is so hard to understand,
Since are against what You command;
And is making me so confused,
Your Law is beaten and abused.
Remove the insults and contempt,
That fell on me in an attempt;
To squelch my cries throughout each day,
Pleading with others to obey.
