Save The Last Dance For Me
This night belongs to someone else
More debonair though by myself
I see what could have been my dance
The chance to dance and you romance
Two step with you I don't think so
Merengue maybe, Bachata no
But if Salsa you chose for me
I'd dance until we danced slowly
For here is where I'd share my heart
The best of me, of us, the part
That cares for you beyond dance floor
That loves you more if you kept score
As sure as does the Sun will rise
The next morning with no surprise
I'd be there for all tomorrows
Not cause but share of too your sorrow
Mambo Kings will come and go
But not this pauper who loves you so
Since day one became now zero
Your Superman once too your hero
Though thorn of late of flowers sent
Time would come and is hell bent
On snuffing out what once was me
A brief encounter who still believes
