Poetic-Verses

'' We'll Manage Fine Without Religion ''

We come into life with nothing,
we go away exactly the same,
yet as we grow and knowledge flows,
religion becomes part of life's game.

We don't really have a choice in this,
it's part of all the fads,
yet who decides what religion we'll be,
our beloved Mums and Dads.

We're taught throughout those early years,
you must respect all others,
Muslim, Catholic, Protestant and Jew,
they're your sisters and your brothers.

It's not too bad while you're still young,
you really just don't care,
but as we grow and minds corrupt,
you become ever more aware.

First we're sent to different schools,
torn away from childhood friends,
this is how they sow the seeds,
very soon our friendship ends.

We're more or less taught the same,
so why pull us apart,
for differences in religious thought,
this is just the start.

As time goes by and we learn more,
old friends they become few,
religious divisions then makes us think,
is he Muslim or perhaps a Jew.

If I ever meet you in the street,
this subject cannot be broached,
for fear of retribution,
it should not be approached.

Why should we be taught this way,
when young were so carefree,
we need to reassess ourselves,
we must let religion see.

That we all must stand united,
against the common foe,
see ourselves as human beings,
to do otherwise let's evil sow.

As we look around the world today,
let us ask ourselves what for,
why are all the differing religions,
engaged in a bloody war.

The United States had 9/11,
Great Britain had 7/7,
people from every religion died,
did they all end up in Heaven.

What about the murderers,
who claim religion drove them on,
where the Hell did they end up,
now that they are gone.

Throughout the years all religions,
have claimed what they teach is right,
if that really is the case,
then why do they need to fight.

Our powers that be deny us all,
the right to choose our own,
who's to say that they are right,
where is it cast in stone.

We really must respect ourselves,
religion isn't seeing,
that all we really need from life,
is respect as a human being,

Thirty nine to Forty Five,
all races fought as one,
religious differences were set aside,
a victory against evil was won.

When we look at each other,
we should see just a face,
but what we're taught from childhood,
is to judge by creed and race.

Religions should be teaching us,
that everyone is equal,
if they don't then we'll all die,
there will not be a sequel.

As we're all Human Beings,
don't you find it odd,
we all worship different deities,
instead of just one God.

Within our religious teachings,
there is a massive dearth,
if we choose to ignore this,
there'll be no planet Earth.

If we could learn to communicate,
with say a Monkey or a Pigeon,
they'd surely say in their own way
