 Inner Clown
Clown
so many people misjudge you
Calling you a sin
Calling you the ruler of nightmares
And the darkest fear
They say you're nothing but a demon
Who smiles and frowns
And takes the souls of the innocent
Then all the screams are drowned

But no one ever thinks
About how the clown feels
Why he smiles to frown
Or the other way around
For everyone has had those days
When feelings are gone
And murder and saints mix
Emotions are at great conflict
Your mind uneasy
And all you want to do is yell
But you are caught in between
Heaven and Hell

That face might be a mask
To hide out all the pain
And yes those tears are painted
So they can blend with the rain
So let us all admit it
Fear or with great pride
We all have our inner clown
Somewhere deep inside
