'' A Look That's Fastened To The Ground ''

I see the lady standing there,
What is it she is seeing,
Is it but an animal,
Or perhaps another being.

She stands there so intensely,
Yet all she does is stare,
There is no movement in her eyes,
Like a rabbit in the glare.

The trees grow tall above her,
Whistling in the breeze,
The snow is falling on the ground,
While the plants around her freeze.

Yet still this lady stands there,
No movement in her eyes,
Rooted to that spot she stays,
Despite the Wolves loud cries.

What could she be hiding,
Why does she remain,
As she stands there motionless,
Could it be she is insane.

What is it she is thinking of?
When looking down below,
Only she herself could tell,
We'd dearly love to know.

The seasons come and go again,
Yet still she finds no treasure,
Regardless of her reasons,
It seems to give her pleasure.

Perhaps we miss the point here,
It's not just gold that glistens,
It's good to know that when we pray,
The Good Lord always listens.

When you concentrate your energies,
Your Saviour will be found,
That is why this lady has,
