How Fragile The Heart
Remind it does when it sustains
How much it bares taking on blame
Innocent though still accused
Cut out the feel way past abused
Given freely when love becomes
Sincere, trusting to only one
But just as strong it may appear
Fragile the heart is too I fear
Frail when aged becomes of us
Broken more so when lost is trust
Engaged in flight when love enters
Upon leaving empty splinters
Cold as ice when not a care
Becomes of it unanswered prayers
Returns without favor for it
Destined empty bottomless pit
In time will heal but still will feel
Whats left of life once loves appeal
Chalking up loss just one more thing
Numbness to pain of unworn ring
