New Beginnings.
She made the choice to leave behind,
A very lonely life,
In misery and bewilderment,
Was this unhappy, tormented wife.
She found a lovely little home,
And settled down to nest,
Surrounded by familiar things,
This was her biggest test.
She sat and looked around her room,
Content in her decision,
Even though it was painful,
She'd shown no indecision.
She'd wanted for so long...
A peaceful, contented life,
No more the recluse, no more abuse,
No more the saddened wife.
New beginnings, a new page,
A new chapter in her book,
To live a life of her choice,
Courage was all it took!
But courage she has plenty,
And strength and stamina too,
If she puts her mind to anything,
There's nothing she can't do!
So she took her life in her own hands,
And new beginnings developed from there,
And now she lives as she dreamed of,
In peace, and without a care.
