One…
One pillow on the bed,
One T-bag in the pot,
One coat hanging on the door,
One life is all I've got.
One knife, one fork, one spoon,
One plate, one dish, one bowl,
One tray to put my dinner on,
One crispy buttered roll.
One toothbrush in the bathroom,
One towel on the rail,
One bar of soap, one loo roll,
One letter in the mail.
One phone to make my calls,
One CD radio,
One cup of tea, for little old me,
One choice on where I go.
One person in the home,
One ecstatic way of life,
One single lass, one happy lass,
No more the lonely wife!
One straw that broke the camels back,
One thought inside her head,
One chance to seize a happy life,
No more sad, but happy instead.
