Poetry that thinks out loud
RACE UPON A STAR
I look at stars and think of home
In open skies where men may roam;
For life had fell upon this earth
No wonder man will die from birth.
The human race is very strong,
But we have not been here too long.
Out there somewhere in outer space
Are different forms of our own race.
Who knows if they are near or far
For we rode here upon a star;
From where it came we have no clue,
But now our home is somewhere new.
In open skies where men may roam;
For life had fell upon this earth
No wonder man will die from birth.
The human race is very strong,
But we have not been here too long.
Out there somewhere in outer space
Are different forms of our own race.
Who knows if they are near or far
For we rode here upon a star;
From where it came we have no clue,
But now our home is somewhere new.
