The Knock of Opportunity

we got it from Cleveland

Rock and roll
can save your soul
and I think I like it..
Alan Freed your mind
with the like and kind
of how the concrete jungle
settled at mom and pa's
doorstep and what was the results
of those teenage wasted years
pumped up superchargers
the beat..the beat..
it's what those youngsters like
soda pop,malted milkshakes
and smoking lucky strikes..
remember Grandma's 57' Chevy
and the back seat
where you and me petted heavy..
slicked up with vitalis
piled real tight
as good as Elvis..
be bop a lula
she's my baby..
ain't no cure
for those Eddie C. blues..
with love to all those teddies..
