I Can't But Feel like I'm Sowing My Seeds in the Wind

I can't but feel like I'm sowing
     my seeds in the wind
You start life with a plan
then reality makes you fold and bend
     and blows you away,
Another night history spends
and you plant a new crop
     the next day
But it's hard trying to grow beauty
in the seas of the sand
when the rain and sun won't provide
These artificial lights, are but daydreams
     we create just to survive
the external blight
I can't but feel like I'm sowing
      my seeds in the wind
The birds are taking them away
Where they're planting them
       I can't say
History spends another night
There goes another unprofitable day
But like programmed robots
we wake-up just to do it all again
Here comes the blowing wind
       to take my seeds away
My ambition's high but my motivation's low
My seeds won't grow, time moves so slow
So, I can't help but feel like I'm sowing
        my seeds in the wind
