Poetry that thinks out loud

A FRIENDLY GAME

They all came here, I understand,
To start afresh on foreign land.
A land where everything was new
And nothing like what they all knew.

And as their new lives did begin
They may take time to settle in,
But there is always help at hand
And that's where friendships will expand.

A friendly football match was set
And at the BORA we all met
And everyone had passion there;
Love of the game is what we share.

The children there they sing and cheer
And that creates an atmosphere
An atmosphere that makes the night
As here communities unite.

And every month will be the same
We'll meet to play a football game.
A game where cultures have no say,
But we as friends meet up to play.
