They were childhood sweethearts
dreaming of a future together
life seemed so Innocent and fair
with love in their hearts to share

Throughout the years they grew closer
loving life under heavens above
until graduation day as they parted
when war stole their young love

Gone were the days of future dreaming
a family that was never to be
lovers since since first remembered
now separated by wars to be free
